Kourtney Kardashian, the oldest of the famous Kardashian sisters, has tied the knot for real, with rocker Travis Barker, after a whirlwind romance in which Barker proposed to Kardadshian in October 2021 after a year of dating. TMZ had earlier reported that the couple married after the Grammys, although the ceremony was not legally binding.

The Couple
Kardashian, 43, was previously married to Scott Disick, with whom she has two children, Penelope Scotland Disick, born in July 2012, and Reign Aston Disick, born in December 2014. The on-again, off-again couple divorced in July 2015. Barker is Kardashian’s second husband.
Barker, 46, is a rocker who plays the drums for Blink-182. He has also worked with other groups and founded bands +44and Box Car Racer. Barker is a legend of the industry and in 2016 was named one of the 100 Greatest Drummers of All Time by Rolling Stone, who referred to Barker as “punk’s first superstar drummer”. Barker is known for his extensive (88 at last count) tattoo body art, and his urban dress style, including the kind of sneaker collection that the customers of the best sneaker store will appreciate. Barker has a stepdaughter Atiana, 22, a son Landon, 17, and daughter Alabama, 15, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, with whom he was married between 2004 and 2008, after divorcing his first wife Melissa Kennedy in 2002 after a year of marriage.
The Wedding
Kardashian announced their wedding on Instagram, having posted pictures of the couple as they hugged by the beach, surrounded by roses. The picture was captioned, “forever”. The wedding was a low key event, with none of the Kardashian-Jenner or her children present, although Kardashian’s grandmother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell and Barker’s father, Randy Barker, attended.
Kardashian wore a white minidress featuring a plunging neckline, and a heart in the middle. She also wore long fingerless gloves and a white veil. Barker wore a black tuxedo.
The couple married in Santa Barbara, California on May 15 at the Anacapa downtown courthouse.
The couple plans on having a bigger Italian wedding after this ceremony. The Kardashian-Jenner clan and Kardashian’s children will be in attendance for the Italy wedding. However, according to People, the couple are not planning an extravagant wedding, and instead will have a small, intimate wedding with close friends and family.
The most famous of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kim, congratulated the couple with ring emojis replying to the post and a Twitter video captioned, “Kravis Forever”. Disick had earlier told Kardashian that, “This is not the easiest for me. At the end of the day, I want you to be happy. Congrats on the engagement”.
At the end of the wedding, the couple drove away in a convertible, “Just Married” flashing at the back on a sign.
The marriage comes at a time of renewal for the Kardashians, with Kim in a new relationship having divorced singer, Ye. Fans of the Kardashians and Barker will be hoping that this wedding is a success and that the couple live long and happy lives together.
